Eu Te Dei

about

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Mabiala who grew up in Luanda in a deeply religious family. From a very young age, he attended church with his parents and was taught about the importance of faith and communion with God. Mabiala was a stubborn and inquisitive boy, always seeking answers to his questions.

As he grew older, Mabiala began to increasingly question the religious teachings and dogmas that had been passed down to him. He found himself in internal conflict, trying to reconcile his faith with the doubts and uncertainties that arose in his mind. Gradually, the confidence he had in his faith started to fade as he witnessed the crumbling of his family.

His parents divorced, and financial difficulties became more pronounced, especially for his mother, who found herself forced to raise their five children alone.

One day, Mabiala decided to secretly write a letter to God. However, instead of signing it with his own name, he chose to pretend to be his mother. He believed that this way, his criticisms would carry more weight and be heard.

Letter from Mabiala to God:

Perhaps tomorrow the sun will shine
It's Father Jah on our path
I regret wasting what was good
No matter how much I tried, I couldn't dance to your tune
Speaking of it, it makes me cry today
But pain eventually heals
The eagerness to sing in a different key
That's how it was

I gave you everything I had, I gave you
I gave you my whole life
Just give it back now, give it back now

No matter how much I tried, your smile wasn't there
Even with all my will, I couldn't show you
That all I wanted was someone to talk to
Just to vent, to push away the pain
If only your ears were there to listen to me
My world would have had a reason to improve
The feeling I have is that none of this will change
It's here to stay, I'm tired of lamenting, oh

Tomorrow is another day, I don't know if the sun is shining yet
I lack optimism to face the same life
Fate that punishes, a stone that kills
I need strength within me to overcome this fate
And time doesn't teach me how to deal with the situation
The hunger for desire begs for a piece of bread
Alone, without direction, suffering greatly
They call it by another name, I call it little luck

lyrics

Falar nisso, hoje me faz chorar

Chamam-lhe outro nome, eu chamo pouca sorte

Eu te dei tudo que era meu te dei
Toda a minha vida dei
Anda devolve já, devolve já
Eu te dei (tudo dei)
Tudo que era meu te dei (eu te dei)
Toda a minha vida dei
Anda devolve já, devolve já
